- How do I register for a tipping competition?
In order to successfully register for the competition you must complete all required fields on the registration form before the closing date for tips of the first round of the competition.
Once you have submitted the registration form an email will be sent to you to confirm your account details. Please check your email approximately 5 minutes after registration and click on the activation link included in the email. If you do not receive the activation email please check your spam folder. If you do not receive the email please email support with your email address and we will activate it for you.
- I can't see the registration button for a sport?
Once signed in, click 'Switch Code' in the top bar, and click 'Join Another...'. If the registration button is not showing then registrations are not open for this sport.
- I can't remember my password, what do I do?
To retrieve your password simply visit the sports tipping login page and click the link underneath the login form that reads "Click here if you have forgotten your password". Enter the email address you used to register for tipping and click "Reset My Password". A new password will be emailed to the address entered and you can return to the login page using these credentials.
- How do I update the email address I use for this competition?
Please send an email to email@example.com with your old and new email addresses and we will change the email address for you.
- The season is part way through, how do I join?
Tipping registration is closed 3 weeks into the code's competition.
- How do I tip?
Once signed in, click 'Switch Code' in the top bar, and select the code you wish to enter your tips, you should see all rounds that are available for tipping at this time. To tip for the next upcoming round click the "Current Round" tab. This will take you to a page displaying the home and away teams for all games in the current round. Click on the radio button next to each team you wish to tip for. Fill in the margin box with the number of points you believe the team you tipped will win by. To submit your tips into the system you MUST click the "Save Tips" button before leaving the tipping screen otherwise your tips will not be saved.
- What is a margin game?
A margin game is one where you must enter your estimate on the score difference between two teams in a given match. This helps to distinguish tippers who have the same score at the end of a round or competition. In this case the person with the closest margin is ranked above other tippers. Be aware that we also consider the match result and who you tipped to win when calculating the margin, for example if you tipped Team A to win by 10 and Team B won by 20 then your margin score would be 30 (not 10!).
- When can tips be entered or edited?
Tips can be entered or edited up until 5 minutes before the first game of the round starts. The closing time for each round will be indicated above the tipping table.
- Why can't I see the teams I tipped?
Up until the round closes you will see the teams you have tipped with a selected radio button next to each selected team, this allows you to modify your tips. Once the round closes you will no longer be able to change your tips or margin (elements will be greyed out). Once results are in you will see the result of your tipping for each match in the far right column (Correct, Incorrect or Draw).
- What happens if I don't get my tips in on time?
You will receive points as if you chose all away teams and zero for any margin game.
This is called autotipping.
- How do I tip for more than one sport or competition?
Once signed in, click 'Switch Code' in the top bar, and select the code you wish to enter your tips, or if you haven't joined a code, click 'Switch Code' in the top bar, and click 'Join Another...'
- I tipped but was given default tips, what happened?
You must enter valid tips and margin for all games before the closure of the round as described above, otherwise you will be assigned the automatic tips for the week. Most commonly this occurs when the "Save Tips" button has not been clicked after entering tips.
- Why am I not asked to or cannot enter a margin?
Margins are required for one game per round (selected randomly).
The field expects a valid positive number as the entry and will not accept anything else.
Once tipping closes for a round you cannot enter or change your margin and the box will be greyed out.
- When does tipping close?
Tipping closes 5 minutes before the first game of the round starts.
- Why can't I see the teams I tipped?
Up until the round closes you will see the teams you have tipped with a selected radio button next to each selected team, this allows you to modify your tips. Once the round closes your tips will be shown by a "tipped" icon next to the team you have selected for each game and the margin box will not allow input but will display the margin you entered. Once results are in you will see a tick or cross next to the team you tipped for, a tick illustrates a correct tip a cross indicates an incorrect tip and a half star indicates a draw (counted as a correct tip).
- All the games are finished, why can't I see results for the round?
Results cannot be calculated until all games within a round have been completed. Every effort is made to have results calculated and available the morning after the last game of the round however sometimes results need checking and cross referencing for accuracy so it is possible results will not be shown until later in the day. If this is the case you will see a message stating results are in but not yet approved.
- Why do I see the wrong sport when I log in?
If you are tipping in multiple competitions please click 'Switch Code' in the top bar, and select the sport you wish to tip for.
- The system seems to have logged my tips incorrectly, what do I do?
When you save your tips you will receive and email with the tips exactly as they have been stored in the system. If they are incorrect in the email log back in and change them immediately as you cannot update your tips once the round closes. We will not be able to modify tips after games have commenced so it is your responsibility to check the tips in the system and email.

- How do I create a Sub-Competition?
To create a sub-competition, once logged in, click 'Tipping Ladder', then 'Sub-Competitions'. You will be able to see existing Sub-Comps here, and also create new Sub-Comp by clicking 'Create Ladder'. You are then to choose a 'Ladder Name' which is seen publically on the 'Sub-Competitions' page. You can also enter an optional password if you would like to keep the Sub-Comp private.
- How do I join a Sub-Competition?
To join a sub-competition, once logged in, click 'Tipping Ladder', then 'Sub-Competitions'. You will be able to see existing Sub-Comps here. Click 'Join this ladder' next to the Sub-Comp you want to join. If the Sub-Comp has a password, it will have a password field next to the button which needs to be filled before clicking ‘Join this ladder’.
- How do I see who else is on my Sub-Competition and their tipping ranking?
You can view all of the tippers on the Sub-Competitions you have joined. You can do this by, once logged in, click 'Tipping Ladder', and click on the drop-down 'Select Ladder to view' to the Sub-Competition of your choice, then click 'View'.
- How is my score calculated each round?
Entrants will be awarded points in each Tipping Week as follows:
Pick a winning team correctly - 1 point
Pick a draw - 1 point, No matter which team you pick
An incorrect Tip - 0 points
- When will I receive emails?
You will receive an email when a new round is available for tipping, when you save your tips and when results for a past round are in.
- Can I stop receiving emails?
No, by registering for the tipping competition you agree to receive tipping related emails for the duration of the sport.
- I could not find the answer to my question above, what do I do?
